07/01/2010 - Mechelen opent eerste oplaadpunt voor elektrische auto's in parkeergarage
Vanaf 15 januari kunnen elektrische auto's gratis worden opgeladen in de parkeergarage onder de Grote Markt van Mechelen. Het stadsbestuur bereikte daarover een akkoord met parkeerbeheerder Vinci Park. Het gaat om een primeur voor Vlaanderen. ThePluginCompany is de partner voor de oplaadpunten.

Fastfoodrestaurant McDonald’s opende donderdag in Maasmechelen het zestigste filiaal in België. Dat gebeurde in aanwezigheid van burgemeester Georges Lenssen en minister van Economie, Vincent Van Quickenborne. In het restaurant kunnen veertig mensen aan de slag. Tegelijkertijd lanceert McDonald’s Maasmechelen de McCharge, het allereerste publieke oplaadpunt voor elektrische voertuigen. Een Belgische primeur.

16/12/2009 - Eerste Belgische oplaadpunt voor elektrische auto's ingehuldigd.
Vandaag werd de eerste oplaadpaal voor elektrische auto's in België in gebruik genomen. Dat gebeurde op de parking van LeasePlan in Zaventem. Later deze week volgen McDonald's en een Limburgse school dat voorbeeld.
